Please use nicknames

Player names are typed by whoever runs the club, and sign-up links work for anyone holding the link. Use the name people are shouted by on the pitch. Do not enter full legal names, addresses, phone numbers, emails or dates of birth — the app has no use for any of it.

What is stored

• Manager accounts: name, email, password hash. Nothing else.
• Clubs: club name, room code, PIN hash, team colours.
• Players: the nickname, goals and wins. No contact details, ever.
• Goals: who scored, which side, and when.

The weekly board

The front page lists the week's top scorers by nickname and club name. Any club can switch this off in its settings, and the board then forgets it immediately.

Visitor statistics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It records the page you opened, roughly where in the world you are and what kind of device you used. It is never joined to a club, a player or an account — the analytics tool has no access to any of that. Browser settings or an ad blocker will stop it, and nothing on the site breaks if you do.

The phone app waiting list

If you added your email on the phone app page, that address and your optional comment sit in a list used for exactly one thing: telling you if the app gets built. It is not a newsletter, it is not passed to anyone, and asking to be removed takes one message.

Deleting

Deleting a player removes them from the squad; their past goals stay in the match log under the nickname they had. Ask and a whole club, with everything in it, gets deleted.
